E.ÊÁÔ.Ï. YOUNG CONSUMERS

T.R.E.A.D.

The T.R.E.A.D. (Training, Research and Education Against Doping) program is committed through its educational conferences to bring together all those involved and concerned with sports and physical education in order to raise awareness that doping has become a significant public health problem, and to prevent the spreading of such to countries and regions hitherto unaffected by the problem.

T.R.E.A.D. will compliment other existing anti-doping programs, however we aim to provide additional information and statistics on doping, updated material on the medical aspect and teach drug resistance skills to athletes.

H.A.N.D.S.

HANDS (Higher Awareness Needs for Doping in Sport) is committed to fair and ethical public awareness approaches through the promotion of drug free sport, equity, fair play, safety and non-violence.

We work closely with sport organizations, athletes, coaches and others to promote and strengthen the positive values and rewarding experiences of sport. In order to reduce the misuse of drugs especially amongst the young athletes, there is a greater need for public awareness.

To facilitate this, the need for publicity regarding the effects of drugs, the offences and the offenders should be made more publicly available. Prevention is the single most important investment for long term success in achieving and maintaining drug free sport. By promoting the inherent values in sport HANDS will create an environment where using performance-enhancing substances and practices become unacceptable in sport.

The most important mandate of HANDS is to raise public awareness regarding doping in sport. We will fulfill this mandate through a comprehensive approach involving research, education and advocacy.

SAFEBORDERS

SAFERINTERNET

The safe use of internet is not only depended on the installing of filtering programs on clients or servers that provide their services, or the use of restraining mesures as far as the content is concerned. Safer Internet means, that the internet provides its users (who can be parents, teachers, teenagers, young children, local authorities and librarians) a powerful tool to better know the world wide web and live better in it.

However, in order to achieve that, we need to build upon a proper social and educational understanding of the internet, consecrating a culture that protects personal rights providing, at the same time, freedom of communication. While we have sanctioned procedures for the proper use of literal knowledge, the speed and broadness of new means provide also new technologies.

The main aim of SaferInternet project is the cooperation with Ministries who have shown interest, and the creation and dissemination of information and advices regarding the educational and social possibilities and effects of internet, via multiple language channels. The project is focused on up-to-date material, initiatives and exambles of good practices on the use of internet as mean of knowledge and life.
